In a client monitored response trial of 37 dogs, 97% showed improvement while on Proanthozone Derm. On average, a moderate response was recorded in 2-3 weeks. 84% reported good or excellent improvement within 6 weeks of use.

Like the original Proanthozone, the basis of this formula is bioflavanol from grape seed extract. Polyphenolic antioxidants, such as bioflavanol, have been shown to inhibit enzymes that promote histamine release, inflammation, and allergic reactions. Additional antioxidant support comes from vitamins A and E and the mineral zinc. This essential core of ingredients from the original formula has been enhanced with omega fatty acids, alpha-lipoic acid, and spirulina for better skin and coat support.

Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are included in optimal proportions to support healthy cell membranes and to help control inflammation.

Alpha-lipoic acid is a potent fat- and water-soluble antioxidant that is able to regenerate other antioxidants.

Spirulina is a form of blue green algae rich in beta carotene, vitamin E, and other essential amino acids. It is highly bioavailabe and enhances protective antibodies. Spirulina also has a direct antihistamine effect.

Using antioxidants in conjunction with other treatments is an economic way to improve results.

Proanthozone Derm is not recommended for use in cats. The formula contains alpha-lipoic acid, which can be toxic to cats. The amount we use is below the toxic level, but long-term effects at lower levels have not been determined.

Recommended Usage:

Initial Dosage: Double the maintenance dose for the first five days. If needed, the maintenance usage may also be doubled during acute phases.

As this product is a nutritional supplement, significant response may not be noticeable for up to 3-4 weeks. Response depends on each animal.
