Antimicrobial, Antiseptic Shampoo
Virbac Hexadene Shampoo is a gentle, antimicrobial and antiseptic
shampoo for use in dogs and cats of any age.
HEXADENE is an antimicrobial, antiseptic shampoo designated
for use on dogs and cats on dermatological conditions responsive to
chlorhexidine. HEXADENE, using SPHERULITES and chitosanide, represents a
breakthrough in skin care technology.
SPHERULITES: an exclusive and patented encapsulation system
developed by Allerderm, provides slow release of ingredients long after the
shampoo is rinsed off.
Chitosanide: a natural biopolymer creates a protective film
on the skin and hair. This technology reinforces the antimicrobial and
antiseptic properties of the formulation.

CONTAINS
Chlorhexidine gluconate 3% in a shampoo base containing
water, lauryl glucoside, cocamidopropyl betaine, Spherulites, chitosanide
and lactic acid. Chitosanide, chlorhexidine gluconate and lactic acid are
present in free forms. Chlorhexidine acetate is present in encapsulated (Spherulites)
form. May contain sodium hydroxide and sodium chloride.
DIRECTIONS
Shake well before use. Wet the coat with warm water and
apply sufficient shampoo to create a rich lather. Massage HEXADENE into wet
coat, lather freely. Rinse and repeat. Allow to remain on hair for 5 to 10
minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Frequency of use: initially two to three times a week for
four weeks, then reducing to once a week, or as directed by your
veterinarian.
