Glandex is specifically designed for pets with a history of anal gland problems, including those that require frequent anal gland expressing. Anal glands (anal sacs or scent glands) are two small glands located on either side of the anus between the internal and external sphincter. The sebaceous glands within the lining normally produce a small amount of foul-smelling liquid used for identification within a species. They secrete into the anal canal via anal ducts normally when there is a bowel movement.

Anal glands become blocked, distended or inflamed due to soft or loose stools, infection, obesity, poor anatomy or a combination of these. Symptoms of anal gland problems include scooting, excessive licking of anal area, straining to defecate, pain or inflammation in area, swelling or bleeding in area.

How to give Glandex?
Glandex is offered as an easy-to-give beef liver powder or as a peanut butter soft chew treat. For use in dogs over 12 weeks of age only.

Under 15 lbs . . . 1/2 chew daily
15-25 lbs . . . 1 chew
26-50 lbs . . . 2 chews
51-75 lbs . . . 3 chews
Over 75 lbs . . . 4 chews
Give recommended amount once daily. Always offer with fresh drinking water. Store in a cool dry place. For best results, refrigerate after opening.
