Dorzolamide HCL Ophthalmic Solution 2%

Dorzolamide HCl is used for the prevention and treatment of glaucoma by reducing pressure in the eye. It reduces the production of fluid (aquous humour) within the eye, thereby decreasing pressure in the eyeball. Lowering the pressure reduces the risk of nerve damage and loss of vision.

Reduced intraocular pressure due to glaucoma
Controls fluid production, particularly within the eye
Reduces risk of nerve damage and blindness

Dorzolamide is also often given to protect the healthy eye from glaucoma when the other eye is affected.

Dosage and Administration:

The usual dose for dogs and cats is 1 drop in the eye 3 times a day. If using any other eye medications, wait 10 minutes between the use of different medicines.

Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian
