Covetrus Dental Chlorhexidine Rinse

For Management of Gingivitis

Covetrus Dental Chlorhexidine Rinse is an orange flavored antimicrobial and refreshing oral rinse solution for the reduction of plaque and bad breath in dogs and cats. Helps control and kill the bacteria in your pet's mouth that cause gum disease. The biofilm made by bacteria is the first step to plaque and tartar build-up. Chlorhexidine Rinse disrupts the formation of biofilm and thus prevents plaque build-up and tartar.

Directions:
Use only as directed by your veterinarian. Shake well before each use. Rinse daily following each meal or as directed by your veterinarian. Hold bottle upright, below your pet's field of vision. Gently lift the upper lip to expose the teeth and gums. Point and squeeze to apply a gentle stream along the gum line. Chlorhexidine Rinse disperses rapidly and completely covers the entire oral cavity, even hard-to-reach areas. Avoid touch the gum with the applicator tip to avoid injury in case your pet moves.

Active Ingredients: Chlorhexidine gluconate 0.13%

5 of 5 Dog loves the flavor April 12, 2024
Reviewer: Erin from San Francisco Bay Area
Veterinary dentist recommended this stuff, I had my doubts but the dog loves it.  I am not using the flush tool that came with the rinse but am instead using a gauze pad soaked with the rinse, rubbing along the gum lines as the vet dentist recommended.  Dog would like to eat the gauze pad, so it's a hit.  I checked, this is the same stuff my periodontist has me use on trouble spots in my own mouth.  We do it at the end of the day when the dog won't be eating or drinking again until morning.
