Clemastine 1.34mg Tablets
Antihistamine
Clemastine Fumarate 1.34mg is an antihistamine that
blocks action of histamine on tissues. Similar to other antihistamines,
Clemastine acts by blocking the H1
receptor and suppresses inflammatory reactions caused by histamine. The H1
blockers have been used to control pruritus (itching) and skin inflammation in
dogs and cats (skin allergies).
Clesmastine Fumarate is also taken by people for
symptomatic relief of rhinorrhea, sneezing, lacrimation, itching eyes, or
oronasopharyngeal itching associated with allergic rhinitis (e.g., hay fever) or
other upper respiratory allergies. Also given for the management of mild,
uncomplicated allergic skin manifestations of urticaria (hives) and angioedema.
